Inspired by the Streets and Hip Hop culture, Aroe began creating graffiti at the age of 13. By the mid-2000s, AROE had co-founded Heavy Artillery, one of the UK’s most notorious graffiti crews. Loved and respected by his peers internationally, Aroe continues to push the boundaries of his artistic expression.
Aroe is widely considered one of the most influential and innovative names in British and International urban art. A master of his craft, Aroe’s large-scale murals are free-form, each one hand-painted that can be seen around the globe. Many of his limited edition prints, publications, music, clothing, and artworks also feature hand-finished elements for a unique touch and a collectable appeal.
Beginning graffiti at the tail end of 1983 as the initial wave of breakdance culture flooded the UK, it was clear from the outset that this was gonna be life-changing. Maintaining a healthy mix of all aspects of the graffiti writing culture AROE tries to constantly evolve the artistic possibilities of graffiti and expand its parameters.

AROE will be painting a large mural at Havet throughout the day during Hopp i Havet fest and a DJ set to follow!
