Gary first started buying records back in the mid-1980s and began DJing in local pubs and bars, often traveling to the US in search of records to buy. Today he sits on a fantastic collection of everything from soul, funk, Latin, Afro, jazz and not least Brazilian gems.
A few years ago he started DJing with Mr Bongo Soundsystem which has given him the opportunity to travel all over the world to buy and play records. He also started his own record label Pressure make Diamonds in 2019 where he releases oddities that he has found on his many travels.
Gareth Stephens (Mr Bongo, (UK)
Gareth Stephens has been part of the Mr Bongo team since 2012, and is the main buyer for their store, but also one of the crew's leading authorities on Lattin and Jazz.
