"Stupid as a Neanderthal!", "Neanderthal behavior!", "Are you completely Neanderthal or not?"

But what if these phrases we use are not correct? Did the Neanderthals have technology and knowledge of various tools and energy forms? Would this make them intelligent people? What if being completely Neanderthal actually meant you were empathetic, creative, strong, adaptable and intelligent? What if we claim that you are also, at least partially, a Neanderthal?

We invite you to a tour of our newly opened exhibition about Neanderthal man. Here we take a closer look at who the Neanderthals were and what recent research can tell us about the people who existed for hundreds of thousands of years, even at the same time as our own species, modern humans. What is the difference between us and the Neanderthals? How did they feed themselves so energetically that it could power such a powerful body?

What tools can we find from them and do we have the opportunity to say something about the soul life the Neanderthals had? And what is the connection between the plant tambourine, energy, and the Neanderthals? No one knows what happened when we, modern humans, first encountered the Neanderthals. But we know we met. We know that for thousands of years, we lived side by side in Europe and Asia. And we know we had children together. Therefore, you probably have a bit of Neanderthal DNA in you.

Welcome to the land of the mammoth hunters, to the world of the Neanderthals. Meet a human species very similar to our own, but in crucial respects also different.

Free entry to the tour, remember to reserve your entrance ticket :-)

Please note that photos will be taken during the festival on the 22nd and 23rd of September. The images will only be used for communication and information related to the festival going forward.
