Mission Impossible? Listen, discuss, participate and survive!

Can you escape from a flood that has taken place in a real Norwegian town? Come and try!

We take you on a breathtaking journey where we find out together how we can realize a sustainable energy transition. You get to talk to our leading researchers in the energy field, experience "the story of energy" and dive deep into virtual reality.

The Energy Trilemma (Security of supply, Competitiveness, and Climate and Environment) can rightly appear to be a Gordian knot in the work toward a greener future on the globe. Does the need for and consideration of the security of supply, competitiveness, and climate and environment drive together? If we want the electricity price to be low enough, then the electricity grid must be expanded - who will pay the price?

What about the respect for nature, for untouched land and animal and bird life? Dilemmas reflected in the event are connected with the transition to the future energy system, which is characterized by decarbonisation, decentralisation, digitalisation, electrification, energy efficiency and -saving, and flexibility.

Introduction to the energy trilemma by director of NTNU Energy Johan Hustad

Representatives of the trilemma:
Finance: Ruud Egging-Bratseth
Climate and environment: Anders Hammer Strømman
Energy supply security: Kasper E. Thorvaldsen

Former member of the debate committee at Samfundet Daria Barjaktarevic is an experienced presenter and event manager.

The event ends with finger food and mingling. Feel free to come and speed-date one of our researchers!

Please note that photos will be taken during the festival on the 22nd and 23rd of September. The images will only be used for communication and information related to the festival going forward.
